Saltville, VA – April 6, 2017 – Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems is sponsoring a free, Migrant Health Fair at Meadowview Health Clinic on Saturday, April 8th. The fair will run from 10:00am – 2:00pm. The goal is to provide health screening services for people and to encourage them to follow-up with a SWVA Community Health Services Primary Care Provider and establish themselves as patients.

The health fair is being run by Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems. Other sponsors include Emory & Henry College, El Burrito Loco Mexican Restaurant, Mi Puerto Mexican Restaurant, Food City and Zazzy’z Coffee. The fair will provide a variety of food, vendors, health education presentations, a bouncy house and other kid-friendly activities.

“Giving back to the community is a great way to improve the lives of those living in the community.  Investing into people’s well-being and health is a big part of the mission of the Migrant Health Network.  Helping to improve the health of one individual in the community improves the health of the community as a whole,” said Chad Brown, Migrant Health Network Coordinator.

This is a free, public event. You do not have to be of Hispanic descent to attend.
