Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven Program Coordinator to support operations at New Day Recovery (NDR), our substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program. This role combines behavioral health program support, front-office coordination, compliance oversight, and administrative leadership to ensure efficient and safe service delivery.
The Program Coordinator plays a critical role in patient access, referral coordination, scheduling, insurance verification, data management, and day-to-day site operations. This position ensures effective communication across the treatment team while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Program & Operations Coordination
- Coordinate schedules for program staff and treatment team members

- Oversee daily site operations to ensure efficient and safe patient flow

Required Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

Requirements

- One to three years of experience in behavioral health settings, particularly with substance abuse counseling.
- Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and the management of medical records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Dental Hygienist – Saltville Community Health Center (Saltville, VA)
Southwest Virginia Regional Dental Center, part of Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems (SVCHS), is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our patient-centered dental team. This role supports high-quality clinical care, preventive education, and outstanding patient experience across our community-focused practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scaling, root planing, and clinical examinations under dentist direction; assist with diagnosis by charting caries, periodontal pockets, and abnormal conditions.
- Administer intraoral block/infiltration anesthesia or nitrous oxide (18+ years old) with required Board-approved training, exam, and current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Independently complete routine scaling, polishing, charting, and preventive hygiene services under general supervision.
- Deliver preventive education, home-care instruction, and nutrition counseling to support oral health.
- Take accurate dental radiographs; place cavity-preventive agents as prescribed.
- Document all procedures and maintain thorough, compliant patient records.
- Follow OSHA, Bloodborne Pathogen, and universal precautions; ensure treatment rooms and instruments meet sterilization/cleanliness standards.
- Take blood pressure/pulse readings; update medical and dental histories at each visit.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, hygiene supply management, and sterilization workflows.
- Participate in scheduling, patient communication, recall processes, and occasional front-office support.

Remote Behavioral Health Therapist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Provider to join our multidisciplinary team. This role delivers behavioral health services both onsite and via telehealth and provides consultation support to primary care providers.
Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Provider is responsible for assessing and treating patients and families with mental health and behavioral health needs. This role delivers individual, group, and family treatment, supports integrated care planning, and assists primary care providers with behavioral health consultation. Services are provided within SVCHS facilities and through telehealth platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts behavioral health screenings and assessments.
- Provides outpatient therapy using individual, group, and family modalities (in-person and telehealth).
- Works collaboratively with primary care providers to recognize, diagnose, and treat behavioral health concerns.
- Supports patients in improving coping skills and reducing symptoms related to chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, chronic pain, hypertension).

The Pediatric staff physician works as part of the medical provider team providing medical services to the pediatric patients of SVCHS. In addition, staff physicians, unless specifically exempted by the CMO, shall be qualified to serve on the active medical staff of a local hospital, assume “on call” after hours responsibilities and supervise community health center PAs or NPs as appropriate.
Qualifications:
– Graduation from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree.
– Completed residency and Board Certification preferred.

– The ability to relate with warmth & effectiveness to patients and other health care providers of
