Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems (SVCHS) is proud to announce the addition of Bambi Evans, FNP-BC, to the medical team at the Tazewell Community Health Center and New Day Recovery Tazewell.
Evans joined SVCHS in 2025, bringing over 26 years of comprehensive experience in nursing and healthcare. She began her nursing career in 1999 upon earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential from the William N. Neff Center. Throughout her career, she has developed a broad clinical expertise spanning pediatrics, maternal-child health, podiatry, public health, and case management. Committed to advancing her nursing practice and education, Evans earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Virginia Highlands Community College in 2018, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from King University in 2019 and most recently, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Old Dominion University in 2025.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified by the ANCC, Evans is committed to providing compassionate, quality care, particularly to underserved communities. “I chose the medical field because I’m passionate about making a difference in people’s lives,” said Evans. “I love seeing the positive impact a caring medical team can have on a patient’s health journey.”
When she’s not caring for patients, Evans enjoys spending time with her family, boating, running, practicing yoga, and being active in her church community. She also emphasizes prevention, patient education, and building trusting relationships with those she serves.
“My favorite thing about being a medical provider is ensuring patients feel heard, cared for, and empowered in their health decisions,” Evans added.
SVCHS is excited to welcome Evans to the team and looks forward to the expertise, dedication, and compassion she will bring to the Tazewell community.
