Meadowview Community Health Center (MCHC) collected non-perishable food items before the Thanksgiving holiday that was donated to Faith in Action in Abingdon, Va.
Darian Keesee, who recently took the Outreach & Enrollment position at MCHC, said, “After taking the O&E position at Meadowview, I plan to take advantage of the outreach part.”
This is the second food drive the MCHC has held in the past few months. Keesee and the other Outreach & Enrollment at the three community health centers in Saltville, Bristol, and Tazewell also helped coordinate a coat drive through other local agencies for people in need of coats during the colder winter months. Keesee plans to coordinate more outreach events throughout the year to help benefit local food banks and other agencies.
