Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems Recognizing Cervical Cancer Awareness Month

Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems will be recognizing the month of January as Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.

All throughout the month, patients are encouraged to wear teal to their appointments since teal is the official color of cervical cancer awareness.  On Friday, January 17, 2020, SVCHS is dedicating the day to cervical cancer awareness. Patients are encouraged to wear teal to their appointments on this day to receive a small gift and to be enters to win a larger door prize.

Each of the four SVCHS sites, including the Southwest Virginia Regional Dental Center and New Day Recovery will have teal decorations throughout their lobbies and sites to raise awareness, as well.
