Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems (SVCHS) welcomes new medical provider, Edgar Camargo, MD, to the Saltville Medical Center to serve as a Primary Care Physician.
Dr. Camargo comes to SVCHS with a vast background of experiences to share with his patients. He attended medical school at State University of New York College of Medicine at Syracuse and comes to SVCHS from Abingdon Internal Medicine. He is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Wound Care.
Dr. Camargo said he wanted to work in primary healthcare in a rural area because he wanted to “help the underserved population in my surrounding community”.
He enjoys outdoor activities, such as biking and hiking.
