SVCHS Celebrates National Dental Hygiene Month

October is National Dental Hygiene month, and SVCHS is encouraging their patients to brush every day and also to get regular checkups and cleanings at the dentist’s office for fresh breath, strong teeth and healthy gums.

Everyone loves a clean mouth, right? And we think keeping that mouth of yours clean on the regular is worth celebrating. In fact, we think it’s worth celebrating not just for a day, but for an entire month; hence, the recognition of the month of October as National Dental Hygiene Month. This month is dedicated to promoting healthy mouths all across the country and celebrating the hard work your favorite dental hygienist does to keep your pearly whites squeaky clean.

Dental Director Amber Hubble, RDH, shared “There’s so much to celebrate about being a dental hygienist, and we are proud to have the opportunity each year to honor our dedicated hygienists and share the important role they play in improving the health of our patients.”

SVCHS would like also like to take this opportunity to recognize our dedicated Dental Hygienists: Michelle Statti and Lakeshia Chapman, who ensure that patients’ oral health is top priority.

To schedule a dental appointment at either of our two sites, Southwest Virginia Regional Dental Center in Saltville, Va. or Tazewell Community Health Center in Tazewell, Va., contact 276-496-4492.
